Full casting has been announced for two new productions opening at Shakespeare’s Globe Sam Wanamaker Playhouse this February.

The Taming of the Shrew will feature Raymond Anum, Ryan Ellsworth, Mattia Mariotti, Evelyn Miller, Laura Moody, James Northcote, Jude Owusu, Paul Ready, Melissa Riggall, Vasilis Sarikis and Michelle Terry.

Directed by Maria Gaitanidi with design by Liam Bunster, this experimental production of Shakespeares classic comedy will see roles played by different actors at different performances.

The Taming of the Shrew runs from 1 February 2020 until 18 April 2020.

Shrew is followed by Women Beware Women, Thomas Middleton’s exploration of the savage underbelly of desire, lust, ambition and gender power dynamics in the Florentine Court. The candlelit venue is undoubtedly the perfect setting for this new play.

Women Beware Women features Paul Adeyefa, Daon Broni, Helen Cripps, Tara Fitzgerald, Stephanie Jacob, Wil Johnson, Simon Kunz, Gloria Onitiri, Rachael Spence, Thalissa Teixeira and Olivia Vinall.

The creative team includes Amy Hodge (director) Joanna Scotcher (design) James Fortune (composer) and Aline David (choreographer).

Women Beware Women runs from 21 February 2020 until 18 April 2020 at Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, Shakespeare’s Globe, London.
