ABOUT Be More Chill

BE MORE CHILL is the new musical sensation heading to The Other Palace in February 2020.

According to The New Yorker, “If you fed “DEAR EVAN HANSEN” and “Mean Girls” to the “Little Shop of Horrors” plant, you’d get BE MORE CHILL.” In other words, it’s both a relatable tale about how far we’ll go for a little validation… and an otherworldly delight about a loveable geek and his very invasive (im)plant. What’s not to love?

Based on the groundbreaking novel by Ned Vizzini, this original and hilarious musical exploded onto the US theatre scene and electrified audiences during its runs off- and on Broadway.

BE MORE CHILL is a mind-bendingly funny, pop-rock sci-fi musical with original music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and a book by Joe Tracz. Songs from the Tony-nominated score have accumulatively garnered over 318 million streams, with the breakout track Michael In The Bathroom amassing over 31 million streams and 8 million YouTube views alone.

BE MORE CHILL runs from 12 February 2020 until 3 May 2020 at The Other Palace Theatre, London.

It’s just your atypical love story – a guy (he wants to fit in), a girl (she wants to be noticed), and the supercomputer inside the guy’s head that tells him what to do (it wants to take over the world!).

The cast is led by Scott Folan (Damned By Despair National Theatre) as Jeremy Heere, Blake Patrick Anderson (Closer to Heaven, Starlight Express) as Michael Mell, Renee Lamb as Jenna Rolan (Six) and Millie O’Connell (Six) as Chloe Valentine.

The cast will also star Miracle Chance as Christine Canigula, Stewart Clarke as The Squip, Eloise Davies as Brooke Lohst, James Hameed as Rich Goranski, Miles Paloma as Jake Dillinger, Christopher Fry as Mr Heere and Mr Reyes and Eve Norris.

Further casting is to be announced.

Adapted from Ned Vizzi’s novel by Joe Tracz with original music and lyrics by Joe Iconis.
