One of the most iconic characters in children’s literature returns to the stage, when The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show opens for a limited 5-week season at the Troubadour White City Theatre 2.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by author/illustrator Eric Carle has delighted generations of readers since it was first published in 1969 selling more than 43 million copies worldwide.
Eric Carle’s books have captivated generations of readers with their iconic hand-painted illustrations and distinctively simple stories, introducing millions of children to a bigger, brighter world, and to their first experience of reading itself.
Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed production of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle stories, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show – The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The timeless classic has made its way off the page and onto the stage.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is booking from 7 August 2019 until 1 September 2019 at the Troubadour White City Theatre 2, London.
