The electrifying new Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill, inspired by Alanis Morissette's seminal album of the same name, is heading to London. UK producer Adam Kenwright and his Kindred Partners production company has confirmed that the show is coming to the West End this November 2022. The show features beloved Morissette hits such as ‘You Oughta Know,’ ‘Head Over Feet,’ ‘Hand In My Pocket,’ and ‘Ironic’, as well as 2 brand new songs written just for the show. Nominated for 15 Tony Awards, the rock musical has an original story that centres on a seemingly perfect suburban family striving to 'keep it all together' when a troubling event shakes their community. The London show will have the same creative time as the original Broadway production, including Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus (Waitress, Pippin), Oliver Award winning choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt, who is responsible for musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements. Casting and full dates of the London production of Jagged Little Pill are yet to be announced, but we believe that it will be all British talent in the production. The show's first international production outside of the US was in Australia, opening at the Theatre Royal Sydney in September 2021. It is unclear which West End theatre will host the show; but theatre owner Trafalgar Entertainment, who own the Trafalgar Theatre in London, also owns the Theatre Royal Sydney. The musical will premiere at the Theatre Royal Sydney which is currently undergoing an extensive multi-million dollar refurbishment by new owner Trafalagar Entertainment. The original Broadway cast of Jagged Little Pill are Drama Desk Award Nominee Elizabeth Stanley as "Mary Jane," Sean Allan Krill as "Steve", Celia Rose Gooding as "Frankie" and Derek Klena as "Nick"; alongside Kathryn Gallagher as "Bella," Lauren Patten as "Jo," and Antonio Cipriano as "Phoenix," all of whom reprise their roles from the musical's record-breaking, sold-out world premiere at American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.)
