Tina – The Tina Turner Musical celebrated its first birthday in London this week with a gala performance attended by stars from the UK’s theatre and entertainment scene.

The hit musical, based on the life of legendary singer Tina Turner, recently welcomed a new cast lead by American newcomer Nkeki Obi-Melekwe and Ashley Zhangazha as Tina and Ike.

Guests included Boy George, Mel Giedroyc, Russell Tovey, Denise van Outen, Kimberley Walsh, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jason Isaacs, Adam Garcia, Martin Kemp, Prue Leith, Chris Moyles, Martin Kemp, Jason Isaacs and Erwin Bach.

Tina – The Tina Turner Musical is directed by Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia!) and written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins. Choreography is from Anthony van Laast, set from Mark Thompson, musical supervision from Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting from Bruno Poet, sound from Nevin Steinberg, projections from Jeff Snugg and orchestrations from Ethan Popp.
