ABOUT SALLY FIELD
Sally Field is a two-time Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and three-time Emmy Award winner. In a long and varied career, she has starred in many well-known Hollywood films and tv series including, Mrs Doubtfire, Brothers and Sisters and Steel Magnolias.
Sally Field will make her London stage debut in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons at the Old Vic.

Sally Field plays Kate Keller, Joe’s wife, who lives in denial of her husband’s crime whilst also struggling with the fact her son Larry has been missing-in-action for three years.

Sally Field made her stage debut in Edward Albee’s The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? on Broadway, appearing in the same production as Pullman as part of the show’s first cast change. She also starred in a revival of The Glass Menagerie, for which earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in 2004.

What is All My Sons about?
Set in America in 1947, All My Sons is the story of a couple who despite hard decisions and tough setbacks in life are outwardly successful. They have a family, a comfortable home and run a successful business.
Their lives, however, are over-shadowed by the loss of their eldest son, missing in action for several years and the suspicion of war -profiteering. The return of a figure from their past brings long-buried truths to the surface and the price of their American dream is laid bare.
A devastating indictment of war-profiteering, the play exposes the price paid by self-interest and greed fostered by capitalism.
