Images have been released of Martin McDonagh’s new play A Very Very Very Dark Matter starring Jim Broadbent.

BAFTA and Academy award-winning actor Jim Broadbent (Iris, Moulin Rouge, Bridget Jones Diary) leads the cast as legendary Danish story-teller Hans Christian Anderson alongside Phil Daniels (This House, Les Miserable) as Charles Dickens, Elizabeth Berrington (Patrick Melrose, Vanity Fair) and newcomer Johnetta Eula’Mae Ackles.

McDonagh’s new play explores the secret inspiration behind Hans Christian Anderson’s stories such as  The Little Mermaid, The Snow Queen and The Emperor’s New Clothes

The play is directed by Matthew Dunster (who previously directed McDonagh’s Hangmen at the Royal Court and in the West End) with design by Anna Fleischle, lighting by Philip Gladwell and sound by George Dennis.

A Very Very Very Dark Matter will play a limited 12 week run from 12 October 2018 until 6 January 2019 at the Bridge Theatre, London.
