ABOUT JULIUS CAESAR
Nicholas Hytner directs a bold new production of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar starring Ben Whishaw, Michelle Fairley, David Calder and David Morrissey.
Hytner’s promenade staging thrusts the audience into the street party that greets Caesar’s return, the congress that witnesses his murder, the rally that assembles for his funeral and the chaos that explodes in its wake.
Ben Whishaw and Michelle Fairley play Brutus and Cassius, leaders of the coup, David Calder plays Caesar and David Morrissey is Mark Antony, who brings Rome back under control after the conspirators’ defeat.
Experience this promenade production either in-the-round looking into the arena or standing amongst the street party greeting Caesar’s return and being right in the action.
Julius Caesar runs from 20 January 2018 until 15 April 2018 at the Bridge Theatre.
