Saint George and the Dragon at the Olivier Theatre, National

Rory Mullarkey creates a new folk tale for an uneasy nation.

An epic story with plenty of laughs, George and the Dragon is directed by Lyndsey Turner (Chimerica, Light Shining in Buckinghamshire), with John Heffernan (Oppenheimer, Edward II) as George.

Saint George and the Dragon will run from 4 October 2017 until 2 December 2017 at the National Theatre.

STORY

A folk tale for an uneasy nation.

Into the story walks George: wandering knight, freedom fighter, enemy of tyrants the world over. One epic battle later and a nation is born.
