The West End premiere of The Mentor at the Vaudeville Theatre.
Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham leads the cast in the West End premiere of Laurence Boswell’s critically acclaimed production of Daniel Kehlmann’s The Mentor.
Best known for playing Dar Adal in the American thriller series Homeland, Abraham’s theatre credits include It’s Only A Play, Othello, Richard III and Uncle Vanya.
The Mentor runs from 24 June 2017 until 2 September 2017 at the Vaudeville Theatre.
STORY
Benjamin Robin is a cantankerous old writer, whiskey aficionado and pedant, still basking in the reflected glory of long-ago success. Martin Wegner is a rising young literary star, heralded as “The voice of his generation”.
When Martin is given the opportunity to develop his new play under the mentorship of his idol, the two writers meet and two massive egos are set on a collision course in this perceptive and compelling comedy about art and artists and the legacy of fame.
