The Royal Shakespeare Company returns to the Barbican with a thrilling new season set in Shakespeare’s Rome MMXVII.
Comprising four of the playwright’s most gripping plays, Coriolanus, Julius Caesar, Antony & Cleopatra, and Titus Andronicus.
Shakespeare’s epic political tragedy Julius Caesar stars Andrew Woodall in the title role alongside Alex Waldmann as Brutus and Martin Hutson as Cassius.
As the race to claim the empire spirals out of control, Shakespeare’s epic political tragedy continues to define all political backstabbing, with spin and betrayal turning to violence.
Julius Caesar will run from 24 November 2017 until 20 January 2018 at the Barbican Theatre.
STORY
Caesar returns from war, an all-conquering hero, but mutiny is rumbling through the corridors of power. Although Brutus loves Caesar, he is persuaded to kill him for the greater good, and like all conspirators loses control of the consequences.
