We try and keep bitterness to an absolute minimum in the West End bunker, but hearing that Elaine Paige plans to make her New York cabaret debut at Feinstein’s in New York this Autumn had already sent us a bit peculiar. Feinstein’s is Michael Feinstein’s cabaret supper club in the Loews Regency, with forthcoming shows including a Feinstein and Barbara Cook double-act.
But now we read that Ruthie Henshall, currently playing Roxie in Chicago on Broadway, plans to follows Ms Paige and play the intimate venue too.
She tells Broadwayworld this week that she is thinking of performing a couple of dates at the club next year.
We are fully supportive of our British musicals stars getting out there and showing the rest of the world what they are made of, but can we have a bit of that too please?
