The New York transfer of Nice Fish starring Mark Rylance at the Harold Pinter Theatre
Direct from a sold out season in New York, Academy and Bafta Award-winner Mark Rylance returns to the West End to perform in Nice Fish, a hit new comic play written by Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins and directed by Claire van Kampen.
Nice Fish is an ice fishing expedition where the ordinary and extraordinary collide. The full New York cast will transfer to London for this limited season.
Nice Fish runs from 12 November 2016 until 21 January 2017 at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
Ron (Mark Rylance) and Erik (Jim Lichtscheidl) play the odd couple, whose ordinary lives are comically exposed in this sublimely playful, profound and very funny play. Kayli Carter, Bob Davis and Raye Birk join them on their journey across the pond.
On a frozen Minnesota lake, the ice is beginning to creak and groan. It’s the end of the fishing season and on the frostbitten, unforgiving landscape, two old friends are out on the ice and they are angling for something big, something down there that is pure need, something that, had it the wherewithal, would swallow them whole.
The cast features Mark Rylance, Jim Lichtscheidl, Kaylo Carter, Bob Davis and Raye Birk.
