Florian Zeller’s acclaimed play The Truth at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
Directed by Lindsay Posner, The Truth is a new adaptation of the Zeller’s play by Christopher Hampton starring Tanya Franks, Alexander Hanson, Frances O’Connor and Robert Portal.
The Truth is a biting comedy which examines the complex relationship of two couples entangled in the politics of extra marital affairs, friendship, deceit and ultimately, the truth…
The production transfers into the West End following its critically acclaimed run at the Menier Chocolate Factory (10 March – 7 May) and previous run at Theatre Royal Bath.
The Truth runs from 24 June 2016 until 3 September 2016 at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
STORY
Two couples. Friendship, suspicion, deceit… and the truth.
Vain and fidgety Michel is having an affair with Alice, the elegant wife of his unemployed friend Paul. But when his own wife Laurence starts to pose tricky questions, we sense he’s not the only character with an agenda. As Michel struggles to sustain his special blend of hypocrisy and duplicity, the balance of power shifts and we’re less and less sure whose chicanery is the most extreme.

Directed by Lindsay Posner, The Truth will have set and costume design by Lizzie Clachan, lighting by Howard Harrison and sound by Gregory Clarke. The show will have original music by Matthew Scott.
