Rowan Atkinson returns to the West End stage for the first time in 40 years with a new comedy sketch show Rowan Live. The show reunites Atkinson with his longtime collaborator Richard Curtis for a strictly limited season of just 30 performances at the Gillian Lynne Theatre from 8 February until 13 March 2027.

Rowan Live in London

Atkinson hasn’t performed a comedy sketch show in the West End in four decades, while Richard Curtis, who has worked with Atkinson since the very beginning of his career, co-creates the show, alongside fellow longtime collaborators Ben Elton and Howard Goodall.

The show brings back the material that originated Atkinson’s most iconic characters, alongside surprise new sketches written especially for this run.

Mr Bean and Blackadder live on stage

Rowan Live draws together some of Atkinson’s best-loved comedy, including the chaotic Mr Bean, the irreverent Blackadder, and favourites from Not the Nine O’Clock News.

The production is directed by Raz Shaw, with music by Howard Goodall, and produced by Playful Productions in association with PBJ Management.
