Jack and the Beanstalk is coming to Hackney Empire this Christmas, running from 21 November to 31 December 2026.   

Directed by and starring Olivier Award-winner Clive Rowe as Dame Trot, this year’s pantomime forms part of an especially significant festive season for Hackney Empire, marking the theatre’s 125th anniversary.   

Rowe also returns to one of his theatrical homes, having played Dames at Hackney Empire for over 25 years, bringing his trademark warmth, energy and comic fun to another generation of audiences.   

Jack and the Beanstalk is a fun-filled festive treat, packed with huge laughs, toe-tapping songs and dazzling costumes, offering one of London’s best-loved pantomime traditions.

Join happy-go-lucky Jack on an epic adventure after he sells his family’s beloved cow for a handful of magic beans, setting off a chain of events that leads him high into the clouds. As Jack climbs the beanstalk, he discovers an enchanted land, a powerful giant and a host of surprises, in a production packed with everything audiences know and love about a Hackney Empire pantomime, including huge laughs, toe-tapping songs, dazzling dance numbers, extravagant costumes and plenty of chances for the whole family to join in the fun.
