Mischief’s Olivier and Tony Award-winning comedy The Play That Goes Wrong has announced another West End extension, and is now booking at the Duchess Theatre until 30 January 2028.
The Play That Goes Wrong‘s extension in the West End from 3 October 2027 until 30 January 2028 cements its status as one of London’s longest-running West End comedies. It opened at the Duchess Theatre in 2014 following its beginnings at The Old Red Lion Theatre.
Over a decade later, the show continues to delight audiences with its chaotic charm and perfectly timed calamity, and is the longest-running comedy to ever play the Duchess Theatre.

About The Play That Goes Wrong
From collapsing sets and missed cues to flying props and forgotten lines, The Play That Goes Wrong delivers nonstop chaos, perfectly timed physical comedy and huge laughs from start to finish. The play takes inspiration from classic whodunnits like The 39 Steps and The Mousetrap, but turns the premise on its head by, well, going wrong.
