Cameron Mackintosh has announced new casting for his blockbuster West End production of The Phantom of the Opera in London.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mega-hit musical is now playing at His Majesty’s Theatre in London, booking to 3 October 2026.
Quick Take: It’s all change at The Phantom of the Opera as Lily Kerhoas is leaving the central role of Christine in the hit musical, to be temporarily replaced by Beatrice Penny-Touré. It’s full circle for Beatrice, who won the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Scholarship after graduating in 2021, and made her West End stage debut in Phantom.
Joining the cast as Christine Daaé will be West End star Beatrice Penny-Touré (Les Misérables). Beatrice is performing for ten weeks only, from 2 March to 9 May 2026.
Lily Kerhoas, who currently plays the role of Christine Daaé, will have her final performance on 28 February 2026.
Beatrice Penny-Touré recently starred as Cosette in the Les Misérables Arena World Tour. Her other West End credits include Mary Poppins, Les Misérables, and The Book of Mormon.
The cast of The Phantom of the Opera also features Dean Chisnall as The Phantom, Adam Rhys-Charles as Raoul, Joanna Ampil as Carlotta Giudicelli, Martin Ball as Monsieur Firmin, Adam Linstead as Monsieur André, Helen Hobson as Madame Giry, Bradyn Debysingh as Ubaldo Piangi and Millie Lyon as Meg Giry. At certain performances the role of Christine Daaé will be played by Colleen Rose Curran.
Phantom boasts music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lyrics by Charles Hart, and additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe. The show’s book is by Richard Stilgoe and Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the novel ‘Le Fantôme de l’Opera’ by Gaston Leroux. Originally directed by Harold Prince, this production is directed by Seth Sklar-Heyn.
