Strictly Come Dancing has announced the West End shows taking part in its annual Musicals Week on BBC One.

Musicals Week marks the quarter finals of the Strictly competition, and will take place tonight – Saturday 6 December at 6.50pm on BBC One, and on Sunday 7 December.

The remaining Strictly couples will dance to a number of iconic West End songs, including ‘Never Enough’ from The Greatest Showman, ‘The Point of No Return’ from The Phantom of the Opera, ‘Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat’ from Guys and Dolls, ‘Dance At The Gym’ from West Side Story, and ‘The Rhythm of Life’ from Sweet Charity.

New challenge for Musicals Week

The couples will also face a new, high-stakes dance challenge, with each pair dancing one after the other alongside eight other dancers.

The challenge will see the contestants dancing to: ‘Trip A Little Light Fantastic’ from Mary Poppins Returns (Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin); ‘With A Little Bit Of Luck’ from My Fair Lady (Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon); ‘Consider Yourself’ from Oliver! (George Clarke and Alexis Warr); ‘Flash Bang Wallop’ from Half A Sixpence (Karen Carney and Carlos Gu); and ‘Me Ol’ Bamboo’ from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Lewis Cope and Katya Jones).

Paddington & Titanique on Strictly

On Saturday 6 December, Tom Fletcher will serenade a couple with one of his new songs from major new West End show Paddington The Musical, with Paddington Bear himself also taking to the dance floor.

Paddington The Musical is now playing in the West End, running at the Savoy Theatre in London.

The results show on Sunday 7 December will see the cast of Olivier Award-winning West End musical comedy Titanique perform in the ballroom.

Also, the professional dancers will perform a sizzling group number to ‘Cell Block Tango’ from hit musical Chicago.

This year’s competition features West End star Amber Davies (Legally Blonde, The Great Gatsby) who is dancing with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin (Nikita Kuzmin Midnight Dancer).

Paddington at the Royal Variety Performance

The cast of Paddington The Musical also recently performed in front of the Prince and Princess of Wales at this year’s Royal Variety Performance 2025, introduced by the show’s composer Tom Fletcher.

The Royal Variety Performance will be broadcast on ITV on 21 December.
