The Hunger Games On Stage at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre has extended its run in London.

The world premiere of the first-ever live adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ acclaimed dystopian saga has added 8 months of new dates to its run, and is now booking at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre to 25 October 2026.

Adapted by Olivier Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson (The Weir) from Collins’ bestselling novels and the blockbuster Lionsgate films, the epic new production is directed by Matthew Dunster (2:22 – A Ghost Story).

Mia Carragher (The Gathering) takes on the iconic role of Katniss Everdeen, joined by Euan Garrett (Quadrophenia – A Mod Ballet) as Peeta Mellark and Joshua Lacey (All the Old Knives) as Haymitch Abernathy.

John Malkovich appears as President Coriolanus Snow, with his performance pre-recorded for the production.

The cast also features Tristan Waterson (Dear England) as Gale Hawthorne, Ruth Everett (Blithe Spirit) as Mrs Everdeen, Sophia Ally (The Current War) as Primrose Everdeen, Tamsin Carroll (Rock Follies, 2:22 – A Ghost Story) as Effie Trinket, Stavros Demetraki (A Face in the Crowd, Oklahoma!) as Caesar Flickerman, and Nathan Ives-Moiba (Cabaret) as Cinna.

The company includes Aiya Agustin (Rue), Liana Cottrill (Clove), Lewis Easter (Marvel), Marcellus Hill (Thresh), Jessica Lee (Tippet), Mariana Lewis (Glimmer), Felipe Pacheco (Cato and Fight Captain), Redmond Rance (Stele), Mark Samaras (Drove), Artemis Stamouli (Fossa and Movement Captain), and Rory Toms (Fila). The Ensemble is Alexandra Barredo, Imogen Brooke, and Felix Garcia Guyer (Chief of Staff, Ensemble and Fight Captain). Swings are Geo Bailey, Kyerron Dixon-Bassey, Matthew Ives (Swing Captain), Kiera Milward, and Nathanael Saleh.

About the production

Set in a brutal future where young tributes are forced to fight to the death, The Hunger Games tells a powerful story of courage, defiance, and survival. As Katniss Everdeen rises to challenge a tyrannical Capitol, she becomes a symbol of rebellion and hope for the oppressed districts of Panem.

Staged in the round at the 1,200-seat Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, the production uses cutting-edge technology and immersive design to place audiences directly inside the arena of the Games.

The Hunger Games On Stage is produced by Oliver Royds, Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Isobel David, Timothy Laczynsii and Umeda Arts Theater, by arrangement with Lionsgate.
