The Royal Shakespeare Company has released more production images of the new cast of Matilda The Musical, including Jon Robyns as the fearsome Miss Trunchbull. The Olivier Award-winning actor has joined the hit show at the Cambridge Theatre as it celebrates its 15th year in the West End.
Alongside Robyns, the adult cast features Tiffany Graves as Mrs Wormwood, Neil McDermott as Mr Wormwood and Eve Norris as Miss Honey. The role of Matilda is shared by Edie McCaig, Emilia Shefford, Suki Hillier and Mia Rogers, with a company of new young performers stepping into the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Nigel and their classmates at Crunchem Hall.
Matilda – New photos released
On 16 August 2025, Matilda The Musical officially became the 10th longest-running musical in West End history. Tickets are now on sale through January 2027, with the show continuing to delight audiences at the Cambridge Theatre. Since its 2010 premiere in Stratford-upon-Avon, the production has been seen by over 12 million people worldwide and won 101 international awards, including a record-breaking seven Oliviers and four Tonys.
Written by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, Matilda The Musical is directed by Matthew Warchus and designed by Rob Howell, with choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations and supervision by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and illusions by Paul Kieve.
Matilda The Musical is playing at the Cambridge Theatre, booking until 17 January 2027.
A new UK & Ireland tour of Matilda is also now playing in venues around the country.
