Ben Ockrent’s darkly comic new play Relics makes its world premiere at the Lyric Hammersmith, directed by award-winning Michael Longhurst (Constellations, Next To Normal).

The star-studded cast features Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones, Miranda, Smack The Pony), JJ Feild (Jack Ryan, Little Disasters), Charly Clive (Rooster, The Lazarus Project), and Sam Swainsbury (Mum, 2:22 A Ghost Story).

When four siblings reunite to clear out their late mother’s home, a long-buried family secret threatens to tear them apart. Old rivalries, fragile loyalties, and shocking revelations surface in this sharply observed comedy-drama about memory, morality, and the legacies we inherit.

Relics promises an unflinching and witty exploration of family dynamics that will keep audiences laughing and gasping in equal measure.

When four siblings reunite at their recently-deceased mother’s home with the intention of divvying up her possessions, a long-buried family secret explodes out into the open – challenging everything they thought they knew about themselves and each other.

True to form, Liv thinks she can bulldozer her way back to how things used to be. People-pleaser, Rob, just wants everyone to get along. But Michelle’s had enough of towing the fragile family line. And with prodigal son, Jonny, hellbent on pushing everyone’s buttons, they all look set to lose everything – their dignity included.
