Speedy overviews and reviews of what’s on in London by our editor, Paul Raven

“Went back to see Mamma Mia! this month to see how it’s doing.
And great to find the show in such good shape – which isn’t always the case for long-runners.
The new cast have brought a fabulous energy – great credit to the production team.
Particularly impressed with Alice Stokoe as Sophie (clearly very talented), and Rebecca Lock and Kim Ismay (their chemistry, talent, skill and fun is a joy to watch and in a new show would be winning them awards).
The show clearly relies on an international audience now for its West End run (the theatre does well to ram home the no phones and photos, but I wish no talking was added to the list!).
I’d also forgotten how fabulously camp it is!
The audience – and I – loved it, which is no mean feat for a show this far into its run.”
