The concert also features a cast including Craig Armstrong (Hello, Dolly!) as Levy, Zoe Birkett (Tina – The Tina Turner Musical) as Rosetta Tharpe and others, Clive Rowe (Guys and Dolls) as Harold Logan, and Aaron Lee Lambert (Evita) as Don Roby.
From humble beginnings in Louisiana to international fame, Lloyd Price’s story is one of resilience, artistry and groundbreaking cultural impact. With chart-topping hits including Personality, Lawdy Miss Clawdy and Stagger Lee, Price’s music broke racial barriers and helped shape modern popular music. His songs were recorded by legends such as Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Little Richard, Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney.
Following a critically acclaimed run in Chicago and a London showcase, Personality arrives at the Southbank Centre for one day only, with two special performances at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Cedric Neal, currently starring in Hadestown, reprises his acclaimed performance as Lloyd Price, bringing charisma, soul and powerhouse vocals to this unmissable concert event.
