After charming TV audiences earlier this year with his five-part Channel 4 documentary, Sir David Suchet CBE is packing his passport once again, this time for a whistle-stop UK theatre tour that brings the golden age of Agatha Christie and murder mystery to the stage.
The new stage show, Travels with Agatha Christie and Sir David Suchet LIVE, will visit five venues between 1 and 23 October 2025, including a one-night stop at London’s Richmond Theatre on Thursday 2 October.
Drawing on the Channel 4 series of the same name, Suchet invites audiences to join him on the 1922 “Grand Tour” that changed Agatha Christie’s life – and, ultimately, Hercule Poirot’s. Using never-seen-before photographs, personal letters and freshly shot location footage, the actor retraces Christie’s journey through Canada, Hawaii, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, revealing the people and places that inspired classics such as The Man in the Brown Suit and Murder on the Links.
“I feel that Agatha will be sitting on my shoulders at every moment,” Suchet said, promising an evening that blends travelogue, detective work and affectionate memoir.
The tour includes St George’s, Bristol (1 October 2025); Richmond Theatre, London (2 October 2025); Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh (5 October 2025); Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells (8 October 2025); and Festival Theatre, Chichester (23 October 2025).
Tickets for London’s Richmond Theatre on 2 October 2025 go on sale for ATG+ members at 10am on 7 August, and general sale at 10am on 8 August. More about booking tickets.
Agatha Christie shows currently playing in London include The Mousetrap, the world’s longest-running show, at the St Martin’s Theatre in London; and Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall.
Touring productions of Agatha Christie’s classics include Death on the Nile, starring Mark Hadfield as Hercule Poriot.
