Casting has been announced for Richmond Theatre’s annual pantomime, this year Cinderella.
Cinderella is playing at Richmond Theatre from 6 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
Cinderella will star Call the Midwife’s Helen George (The King and I), making her panto debut as the Fairy Godmother, with West End leading man Charlie Stemp (Crazy For You, Palladium Pantos) as Buttons.
The cast will also include TV favourite Basil Brush as Baron Basil!
Helen George said in a statement: “I’m so excited to be making my panto debut as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. I’ve always loved the magic of panto – I can’t wait for my children to see me on stage, and what better place than Richmond to do it!”
Charlie Stemp said: “I’ve had the most incredible time performing in pantomimes at The London Palladium over the years, and I’m so excited to now bring that same festive magic to Richmond. There’s nothing quite like the joy and energy of panto – and getting to share that with audiences in such a beautiful and historic theatre is a real treat. I can’t wait to get started!”
Michael Harrison, Chief Executive of Crossroads Pantomimes, producer of the show, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing such an exceptional cast to Richmond this Christmas. Helen George, Charlie Stemp and Basil Brush are all beloved by audiences of all ages, and together they promise a truly magical production of Cinderella.”
Cinderella is running at Richmond Theatre from 6 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
