Written by National Theatre writer-in-residence Beth Steel (The House of Shades) and directed by Bijan Sheibani (A Taste of Honey, Barber Shop Chronicles), this powerful new play unfolds at a wedding on a sweltering summer’s day. As a family comes together to welcome a newcomer, vodka flows, dances are shared, and buried tensions rise to the surface. Passions flare and loyalties are tested in this bold portrait of a larger-than-life family facing the pressures of a rapidly changing world.
