The producers of Alex Newell’s forthcoming concert at Cadogan Hall in London have announced that West End star Marisha Wallace is joining the show as a special guest.
Alex Newell Live will take place at Cadogan Hall in London on Sunday 1 September 2024 at 2:30pm and 6.30pm.
Marisha Wallace recently starred as Bea in Something Rotten in Concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Her previous credits include starring as Adelaide in the Bridge Theatre’s smash-hit revival of Guys & Dolls; Oklahoma! at the Young Vic and in the West End; Waitress, Hairspray and Dreamgirls in the West End; and Aladdin and Something Rotten on Broadway.
Coming up, Marisha is starring in this year’s Palladium Panto – Robin Hood.
Alex Newell is an award-winning actor and singer. Alex’s breakout role was in TV hit series Glee, and other TV credits include Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, an Emmy-nominated Christmas special on Roku, Our Kind of People, and Fox’s Empire.
In 2023, Alex made history as the first non-binary identifying actor to win a Tony award for Best Featured Actor for their role as Lulu in Broadway’s Shucked; and Alex’s other stage credits include Once on This Island, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Last Supper.
Marisha Wallace is also playing her own solo concert in London next year, performing at the Adelphi Theatre in March 2025.
