For the first time ever, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse presents Chekhov’s Three Sisters in a world premiere of a new translation by acclaimed playwright Rory Mullarkey. One of the most influential literary artists of his time, Anton Chekhov shares the stage with Shakespeare this season, exploring the transformative impact they both continue to have on how we think and feel about the world.
Directed by Caroline Steinbeis (The Contingency Plan, Rutherford and Son, Sheffield Crucible), this twentieth-century classic promises an unforgettable theatrical experience.
A hugely talented cast includes TV and stage star Paul Ready (Motherland), and artistic director of Shakespeare’s Globe and Olivier Award winner, Michelle Terry.
