Casting has been announced for the new production of Yasmina Reza’s multi-award winning comedy ART, which is heading out on a tour of the UK this autumn 2024.
The show will star acclaimed comedian Seann Walsh, alongside Chris Harper (Call the Midwife, Coronation Street) and Aden Gillett (The Crown, The House of Elliot).
Directed by Iqbal Khan (East is East, National Theatre; Othello, RSC), the tour starts at the Lighthouse Poole on 29 August 2024, and then visits the Theatre Royal Bath, Norwich Theatre Royal, Mercury Theatre Colchester, Malvern Theatres, Devonshire Park Theatre Eastbourne, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, and the Sheffield Lyceum Theatre, with further dates to be announced.
ART originally ran for nine years in London’s West End and has since travelled the globe, picking up Best New Comedy Olivier, Tony and Moliere Awards for Yasmina Reza’s razor sharp exploration of art, love and friendship.
Joining Iqbal Khan in the creative team are Set and Lighting Designer Ciaran Bagnall, Composer and Sound Designer Max Pappenheim, Associate Director Olivia Millar-Ross, Production Manager Brian Watson, Costume Supervisor Nancy Surman and Props Supervisor Katie Balmforth.
