The London Palladium relaunches their backstage tours

The London Palladium, one of London’s most iconic and historic West End theatres, is starting up their backstage tours.

The tours will run this summer only, from 15 July to 31 August 2024 at the London Palladium, inviting audiences to experience areas of the vast Palladium not usually accessible to the public.

You’ll also be about to learn more about the London Palladium’s rich history.

The London Palladium is owned by composer and producer Andrew Lloyd Webber (The Phantom of the Opera, Starlight Express) as part of his LW Theatres empire.

The Palladium first opened in 1910, and has hosted some of history’s greatest performers including Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, The Beatles and Madonna, and has been the home to acclaimed musicals including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Sound of Music, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wizard of Oz, and – coming this summer – Imelda Staunton in a revival of Jerry Herman’s Hello, Dolly!

The guided tours will be back up and running for the first time in five years, and will take place at 1pm and 2:30pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour. The tour will cost £29.50 for adults or £24.50 for children and includes tea, coffee and cake post-tour in the opulent Val Parnell bar.

Tickets on sale from Thursday 2 May at 12 noon.

Other London theatres offering tours include the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Shakespeare’s Globe – see our London’s Top Backstage Tours guide.
