1960’s pop star Mark Wynter joins the cast of Dreamboats & Petticoats at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
He was one of the biggest stars of 1960’s pop music and is now set to sing some of his own hits in the London production of Fifties and Sixties show Dreamboats and Petticoats at the Wyndham’s Theatre in London.
Mark Wynter, whose hits included Image of a Girl, Venus in Blue Jeans, Go Away Little Girl and It’s Almost Tomorrow, and who had nine singles hits in the charts between 1960 and 1963, joins the cast of the hit West End show from 20 November 2012.
Since his pop star days Wynter has defined his career through his stage work, performing in a host of hit musicals including Phil the Fluter at the Palace Theatre, Charlie Girl, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, South Pacific, Barnum and Annie.
His drama work includes Barry England’s Conduct Unbecoming at the Queens Theatre and a recent UK tour of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Nile.
Film work includes Just for Fun, The Haunted House of Horrors and Red.
Mark will play the father of the show’s wannabe pop star, Bobby, but in the finale will belt out some of his greatest hits.
