Rupert Everett stars as Oscar Wilde in David Hare’s play The Judas Kiss, at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London.

Following a sell-out run at Hampstead Theatre, The Judas Kiss transfers into the West End for a limited season.

Everett gives the performance of his career in this acclaimed new production directed by Australia’s leading theatre director Neil Armfield.

David Hare’s extraordinary play The Judas Kiss covers two pivotal moments on Oscar Wilde’s path to destruction: the day he decides to remain in England and face prison, and two years later on the night after his release when his lover, Bosie, for whom he risked everything, betrays him.

Freddie Fox plays Oscar Wilde’s young lover Bosie, Lord Alfred Douglas, in this powerful play alongside Cal Macaninch, Ben Hardy, Kirsty Oswald, Alister Cameron and Tom Colley.

Rupert Everett’s many stage credits include Some Sunny Day (Hampstead Theatre),  Pygmalion (Chichester Festival Theatre/Garrick Theatre), Blithe Spirit (Shubert Theatre/Broadway) and The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore (Lyric Hammersmith). His numerous film credits include Another Country, The Importance of Being EarnestMy Best Friend’s Wedding and An Ideal Husband.
