Sophia Bush drops out of 2:22 A Ghost Story, Frankie Bridge steps in

One of the stars of 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Apollo Theatre in London has had to drop out of the show due to illness.

US actress Sophia Bush, who has appeared in TV dramas including Love Victor, One Tree HIll and Good Sam, has had to withdraw from the show.

The producers said in a statement that, “Unfortunately Sophia Bush has had to withdraw from the role due to illness. We’ve loved having her as part of the cast, and we’re sending her lots of love and well wishes”.

She has been replaced by actor and singer Frankie Bridge, who is a former member of S Club Juniors and girl group the The Saturdays, to play Lauren.

Frankie, who also appears on ITV’s Loose Women, took to her Instagram to say that the role was a “total dream come true”, and that, “I’ve loved the show since I first saw it. It’s an honour to be making my West End debut on such a clever, suspense-filled production and I couldn’t be more excited”.
