Photos: West End Stars out in force for ATG summer party
Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) pulled out all the stops last night at its annual summer party, with a glittering array of West End and Broadway stars. Led by Mark Cornell, it has been quite a year for ATG, with a new expansion in the US, and a continued dominance of theatre ownership in London and around the UK. They own or operate over 59 theatres in the UK, US and Germany. The party was held at Kensington Palace Gardens in honour of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, who are in town to promote the launch of Plaza Suite, coming to the Savoy Theatre in January 2024. It will be Sarah's West End stage debut, and will be one of the hottest tickets in town. The party was in support of Sir Sam Mendes’ Theatre Artists Fund (TAF), raising money to launch their new initiative for technical theatre talent, to develop careers and inspire positive change in the industry. Guests in attendance at the ATG summer party included a who's who of talent from recent, current and upcoming ATG Productions, and shows in their venues - from A Little Life with James Norton, to current hit Cabaret, and forthcoming show Plaza Suite. The guests included Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, James Norton, Cara Delevingne, Jenna Coleman, Charlotte Tilbury, Jake Shears, George Osborne, George Waud, Joely Richardson, Charles March, Sope Dirisu, Jenni Falconer, Geordie Greig, Rob Madge, Michael and Hilary Whitehall, Gala Gordon, Rob Brydon, Jessie Buckley, Elliot Levey, Omari Douglas, Imelda May, Tracy Ifeachor, Tamsin Greig, Pete Waterman, and Nicola Coughlan. Mark Cornell, ATG’s Chief Executive Officer said in a statement: “We take great pride in our collaboration with the Theatre Artists Fund for this year's Summer Party, dedicated to raising funds for a profoundly significant cause. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our superb honourees of the evening, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, and I extend my sincere thanks to all those of you who have partnered with us this year; producers, directors, writers, creatives, actors agents and beyond. Thank you all” Photos: ATG Summer Party Photos by Dave Bennett [ngg src="galleries" ids="1310" display="pro_tile"]
