Diana: The Musical Tickets

Full casting has been confirmed for the new concert version of Broadway show Diana: The Musical, which is coming to the Eventim Apollo in London. The show plays for one night only on 4 December 2023 at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, produced by Lambert Jackson (Brokeback Mountain, Cruise) and Cuffe and Taylor (The Cher Show). Already announced are Kerry Ellis (Anything Goes) as Diana, Princess of Wales, alongside Maiya Quansah-Breed (Six The Musical, Rent) as Diana's younger self - Diana Spencer, and with special guest Denise Welch (ITV's Loose Women) as The Queen. They will be joined by Alice Fearn (Come From Away, Wicked) as Camilla Parker Bowles; Andy Coxon (Beautiful - The Carole King Musical) as Prince Charles; Jay Perry (Hamilton) as James Hewitt; Aleyna Mohanraj (Annie Get Your Gun) as Sarah Spencer; and the ensemble will be students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Alice Fearn recently starred in Then, Now & Next at Southwark Playhouse Borough. She also played Beverley in the hit West End production of Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre in London. This London production promises to be a radical new version of Diana: The Musical, directed by Owen Horsley, who is an associate artist of the RSC and associate director of Cheek By Jowl, with Adam Hoskins (Annie Get Your Gun) as musical supervisor. New for the show is that the Diana role is split into two parts, as Kerry Ellis as a recently divorced Diana looks back on her 19 year old self, played by Maiya Quansah-Breed. Diana: The Musical is billed as a "dazzling and devastating" look at the life of Princess Diana, in an original musical by writers David Bryan and Joe DiPietro (Memphis). The 2021 Broadway production, at the Longacre Theatre starring Jeanna de Waal, was severely disrupted by Covid, and was a critical and commercial flop, running for only 49 performances. The creative team's vision for the show is that Diana will be firmly in control of her own narrative in this new production, and her story will be brought to life with humour and satire to reveal a woman who, having just signed her divorce papers, sees a future filled with opportunity. West End production company Lambert Jackson (Cruise, Brokeback Mountain) is currently teasing a new project, centred on Diana, Princess of Wales. Their social channels are promoting the new show, to be announced tomorrow 14 June 2023 at 10am. The posts are centred on Diana, with quotes from her over a series of themed posts: Mother, Sister, Wife, Philanthropist, and Icon. Possible projects include Diana The Musical, the Broadway show written by David Bryan and Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis). Jeanna de Waal starred as Diana on Broadway, and a filmed performance was aired on Netflix. Lambert Jackson is an Olivier Award nominated West End production company founded by Jamie Lambert and Eliza Jackson in 2018.
