Laurel & Chaplin – The Feud is the extraordinary untold true story of how teenagers Stan Laurel and Charlie Chaplin shared a room for three years as they started their careers.
Charlie star of the show, Stan his loyal understudy.
When Chaplin is discovered by Hollywood, he vows to help Stan if he makes it, but Charlie then ignores his best-friend – even when Stan partners with Oliver Hardy and becomes successful duo Laurel & Hardy, and doesn’t speak to him for twenty-five years.
By turns heart-breaking and hilarious, a narrator tells this compelling story, and the entertainment is provided by a unique mix of slapstick, burlesque and cirque suitable for people of all ages.
Performed by a talented cast of eight performers, and directed by Michael Barrymore, Laurel & Chaplin – The Feud is playing every Monday evening at the Cambridge Theatre from 24 July to 28 August 2023.
