One Man, Two Guvnors at Theatre Royal Haymarket

Sorry, this show is not currently booking.

The National Theatre’s sell-out production of hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Richard Bean’s English version of Carlo Goldoni’s classic Italian comedy The Servant of Two Masters now stars Owain Arthur.

Richard Bean’s award-winning play is a glorious celebration of British comedy – a unique, laugh-out-loud mix of satire, songs, slapstick and glittering one-liners.

Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe. But Roscoe is really Rachel, posing as her own dead brother – who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a job with one Stanley Stubbers – but to prevent discovery, he must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.

The current London cast includes Owain Arthur as Francis Henshall, Angela Griffin as Dolly and Kellie Shirley as Pauline.

One Man, Two Guvnors opened at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 2 March 2012. The show originally played at the National Theatre (previewed 17 May 2011, opened 24 May 2011, closed 19 September 2011) before moving to the Adelphi Theatre (previewed 8 November 2011, opened 21 November 2011, closed 25 February 2012).
