Horrible Histories – Terrible Tudors live on stage returns to London’s West End for Summer 2023.

Following a horribly successful run last summer Birmingham Stage Company today announces that Horrible Histories – Terrible Tudors will return to the Garrick Theatre from 27 July 2023.

Co-written by Terry Deary, creator of Horrible Histories and one of Britain’s best-selling authors of the 21st Century, and Neal Foster, prepare for the gory details as Birmingham Stage Company take audiences on a whistle stop tour of the Tudor dynasty, delving into the abominable stories of this frightful family

Actor/Manager of Birmingham Stage Company Neal Foster said today: “Our 2022 run of Terrible Tudors was the most successful Horrible Histories season we have had in the West End, so we’re delighted to be back for our twelfth year with our most popular show so far”.

Horrible Histories – Terrible Tudors is directed by Neal Foster, designed by Jacqueline Trousdale, with lighting by Jason Taylor, music by Matthew Scott, sound by Nick Sagar, with choreography by Kenn Oldfield.

In addition to Terrible Tudors at the Garrick Theatre, Birmingham Stage Company will also conduct their live river cruises – Terrible Thames River Tour – this summer. This unique immersive theatrical tour takes in prime historical locations such as The Tower of London, Parliament, Shakespeare’s Globe, and the Golden Hinde. Passengers learn the stories of King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Julius Caesar, Queen Boudicca, Jack the Ripper and Captain Kidd, in this history of the Thames with the nasty bits left in.

Horrible Histories – Terrible Tudors runs from 27 July 2023 until 2 August 2023 at the Garrick Theatre in London.
