Forty five years after it terrified a generation, William Peter Blatty’s chilling novel has been adaptated into a new stage production.
Based on a true story, and made infamous by the Academy Award winnning 1973 film, The Exorcist is the terrifying tale of a little girl possessed by demons.
When medical professionals are unable to explain her daughters strange symptoms, her desperate mother turns to the local priest for help. At stake is more than one little girl’s soul.
Sean Mathias (Bent, No Man’s Land) directs with design by Anna Fleischle (Hangmen), lighting by Tim Mitchell (Guys and Dolls), composition and sound design by Adam Cork (London Road) and illusion design by Ben Hart (Impossible).
The Exorcist will play a limited season from 20 October 2017 until 10 March 2018 at the Phoenix Theatre.
