Lenny Henry will make his Donmar debut in a new production of Bertolt Brecht’s satirical masterpiece about the corruption of power and rise of a demagogue.

Set in prohibition era Chicago, the production will star Lenny Henry as Arturo Ui alongside Michael Pennington as Dogsborough in a new adaptation by Pulitzer, Olivier and Tony Award-winning American playwright, Bruce Norris.

Other casting includes Philip Cumbus, Lucy Eaton, Tom Edden, Lucy Ellinson, Simon Holland Roberts, Louis Martin, Justine Mitchell, Gloria Obianyo, Guy Rhys and Giles Terera.

Simon Evans directs, with design by Peter McKintosh, sound by Ed Lewis, lighting by Howard Harrison and movement by Stephen Lear.

Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui runs from 21 April 2017 until 17 June 2017 at Donmar Warehouse.
