Dawn French stars in Thirty Million Minutes

Following her hugely successful run last year, Dawn French returns to the West End with her one woman show Thirty Million Minutes.

Dawn described the show as “It’s not a play, it’s not stand-up, it’s not a monologue, it’s not a slide show, but it’s something a bit like all of those with some alarming extreme striptease thrown in.”

A stalwart of the British comedy scene for over 30 years, French studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama where she met her comedy partner Jennifer Saunders. She is most known for writing and starring in the comedy sketch show French and Saunders and for playing the lead role in the sitcom Vicar of Dibley.

She is a writer, actress, comedienne and most recently appointed Chancellor of Falmouth University.

Dawn’s theatre work includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream, My Brilliant Divorce, Smaller and performing as the Duchesse de Crackentorp in The Daughter of the Regiment (La fille du régiment) by Gaetano Donizetti.

Her TV work includes The Vicar of Dibley, French & Saunders, Murder Most Horrid, Ted and Alice, Jam & Jerusalem, Agatha Christie’s Marple, Roger & Val Have Just Got In, Comic relief and The Comic Strip Presents.

Dawn’s film work includes Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and she provided the voice for the character Mrs. Beaver in Disney’s film adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the role of Angie the Elephant in the environmental animated film Animals United.

Thirty Million Minutes runs from 18 October 2016 until 22 October 2016 at the Vaudeville theatre.
