World Factory at the Young Vic

The Young Vic, 66 The Cut, Waterloo, London, SE1 8LZ

Audiences are invited to participate in the politics of fashion – World Factory at the Young Vic theatre.

Delving into the murky history and contemporary reality of the garment industry, World Factory provokes a conversation about consumer capitalism and ethical trade in relation to China.   Audiences become factory managers, calling the shots on profits, products and workers – and are asked to decide for themselves what success means.  Direction/design by Zoë Svendsen and Simon Daw.

World Factory plays for a strictly limited run at the Young Vic theatre (Maria studio) from 11 May 2015 til 30 May 2015.
