Carmen Disruption at the Almeida Theatre
A new play by Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) for the Almeida Theatre.
Simon Stephens, who adapted the acclaimed, international hit play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, brings his new play to the Almeida Theatre.
Billed as a strange and beautiful new play, Carmern Disruption reimagines Bizet’s opera Carmen and the possibility of love in a fractured urban world.
Directed by Michael Longhurst (Constellations), the play is set in the opulent grandeur of a European city, where a renowned singer abandons the opera house for the truth of the streets.
