The musical first premiered at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 20 September 1989, where it ran for 10 years.

Now at its new home at the Prince Edward Theatre, a glittering array of West End stars came together last night (22 September 2014) to celebrate the musical milestone including a finale that featured original Kim, Lea Salonga, and original Engineer, Jonathan Price.
